Thai mourners pay last respect to late King
BANGKOK, Oct 15 (TNA) -- Thai mourners pay last respect to late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and join religious merit-making ceremonies dedicated to the beloved monarch who passed away on Thursday.
Large crowds of people have gathered at public spaces, main government buildings and designated locations nationwide to take part in ceremonies dedicated to the King.
People in Mae Sariang district of Mae Hong Son lined up on streets to give alms to 159 Buddhist monks early Friday morning.
They offered prayers and dedicated merit-making activities to King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Ceremonial bathing of the portrait of the late monarch are being held and open to all members of the public.
Some government offices have allowed people to sign book of condolences for the revered King. (TNA)
