Bahrain Science Centre transferred to Youth Ministry

Manama, Oct. 15 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan and Youth and Sport Affairs Minister Hesham bin Mohammed Al Jowder signed a memorandum of understanding transferring the affiliation of Bahrain Science Centre from the Labour and Social Development Ministry to the Youth and Sport Affairs Ministry, in line with a resolution by the Ministerial Committee for Financial Affairs and Rationalising Expenditure. Under the new memo, Bahrain Science Centre will be run and operated by the Youth and Sport Affairs Ministry as part of its youth-oriented scientific activities. The memo also stipulates that the centre continue promoting the scientific and technological culture among Bahraini youngsters as well as fostering deductive and recreational education.
