Bahrain condemns terror bombing in Baghdad

Manama, Oct. 16 (BNA): Bahrain has strongly condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted a funeral in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, resulting in scores of deaths and injuries. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to all the injured in this terrorist act that contradicts all religious principles and human values," the ministry said in a statement. "The ministry affirms the Kingdom’s solidarity with the Republic of Iraq in the face of violence and terrorism and reiterates its support for its efforts to achieve security and stability. The ministry reaffirms the Kingdom of Bahrain's firm rejection of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations regardless of the motives and justifications, and calls for concerted regional and international efforts aimed at eliminating this dangerous scourge that threatens peace and security."
