POMC to facilitate people paying respects to late Thai King
BANGKOK, October 20 (TNA) - The Thai army-led National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has set up and assigned the Peace and Order Maintaining Command (POMC) to provide convenience and safety services to people from everywhere who are expected to crowd the vicinity of the Grand Palace in Bangkok once they are allowed to pay respects to the royal urn of late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej
as of October 28, 2016.
NCPO Spokesman Colonel Winthai Suvaree told journalists of the move on Thursday, saying that NCPO has stationed POMC officers around the Grand Palace to jointly work and coordinate with other concerned agencies to provide the services to the crowds.
The spokesman said a meeting among relevant parties were set to be held at 11am every day to plan their joint services and to ensure the efficiency of the public services.
The spokesman stressed that all the concerned parties will work at their best as suggested byThai Prime Minister and NCPO Chief General Prayut Chan-ocha. (TNA)
