Thai, Cambodian cyclists join event in remembrance for late King Bhumibol Adulyedej

SURIN, Oct 23 (TNA) -- More than 2,000 cyclists from Thailand and Cambodia joined a special cycling event today organized in remembrance for HM late King Bhumibol Adulyedej. Thailand’s Surin Provincial Governor Adthaporn Singhawichai and his Cambodian counterpart from Oddar Meanchey Province jointly kicked off the activity Saturday morning with a singing of the Royal Anthem followed by a 9-minute moment of silence. The governors then led the cyclists in the cycling which covered a total of 100 km return trip from Thailand to Cambodia. The activity was also recognized as the first Thai-Cambodia joint cycling to strengthen ties of both countries. (TNA)
