PTT offshore staff forms human number 9 in remembrance of late king

BANGKOK, Oct 23 (TNA) – Employees of PTT Exploration and Production Plc working offshore at the Greater Bongkot North field in the Gulf of Thailand on Oct 22 gathered to create a human number 9 in Thai in remembrance of His Majesty late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The employees occupied the helicopter landing area on the oil rig to display the human mosaic depicting a Thai numeral “๙”, which refers to HM King Bhumibol as the ninth monarch of Thailand from the Chakri Dynasty. In 2001, the late king graciously named the PTTEP’s licensed production area of its Bongkot and Arthit projects as the Navamindra Petroleum Area. HM King Bhumibol died on October 1 3 at the age of 88 after a long illness. (TNA)
