LG Dacom Q4 net tumbles 35 pct

SEOUL, Jan. 22 (Yonhap) -- LG Dacom Corp., a South Korean fixed-line and Internet
service provider, said Thursday that its fourth-quarter earnings plunged 35
percent year-on-year on increased losses from equity investments.
Net profit stood at 17.4 billion won (US$12.7 million) in the three months to
December, compared with 26.8 billion won a year earlier, LG Dacom said in a
regulatory filing.
Sales rose 18 percent annually to 447 billion won and operating profit surged
30.8 percent to 62.2 billion won, it said.
