Songkhla puts up portraits of late King in places he once visited
SONGKHLA, Oct 29 (TNA) -- The Thai southern Songkhla province has put up portraits of His late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at locations which HM used to visit in remembrance of the great monarch.
The Songkhla provincial and municipal offices have joined hands to put up portraits of His late Majesty while he was on His official visit to the province on March 20, 1959 in three locations, including the Samila beach, Wat Matchimawas Temple, and a club near Khao Noi, as well as decorated them with flowers and lights in remembrance and honour of HM King Bhumibol for his hard works for the Thai people.
The portrait on the Samila beach is the most special, as it portrays a picture of His late Majesty was filming Queen Sirikit right here on the beach back on March 20, 1959. (TNA)
