Deputy Interior Minister receives UNODC Representative

Manama, Oct. 30 (BNA): Deputy Interior Minister Lt-General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel received today Head of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for the GCC region Hatem Fouad Ali. The General Director of Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security attended the meeting. The Deputy Interior Minister welcomed the guest, highlighting the importance of joint and active cooperation between the Interior Ministry and UNODC as part of the Memorandum of Understanding that was signed between the two sides on 27 February 2014. He highlighted the importance of the commitment to international criteria in facing cross-border crimes to protect societies. The meeting discussed topics of common interest. (MOI)
