Electricity Minister meets German delegation

Manama, Oct. 30 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussein bin Ali Mirza received a delegation from the German Lighting company. The minister reviewed with the delegation cooperation in the projects being carried out by the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) and future investment opportunities. The delegation stressed the company’s desire to set up a company that manufactures LED energy-saving lamps. The $10-million project would also provide work opportunities for job-seekers. Dr. Mirza commended the dedicated efforts and expertise of the company in producing energy-saving lamps. He reiterated the EWA-led policy welcoming investments in this sector to optimize customer-service, in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision. The meeting was attended by EWA Deputy Chief Executive Officer for distributions and subscribers’ services Adnan Mohammed Fakhro and other officials.
