Two ethnic Koreans killed in Guatemala: foreign ministry

SEOUL, Jan. 22 (Yonhap) -- The bodies of two ethnic Koreans who may have been
murdered have been found in Guatemala, according to Seoul's foreign ministry on
Thursday.

A ministry official said two Koreans who were working at a cloth factory in Via
Nueva were reported missing on Monday, and their bodies were found on Wednesday.
The identities of the victims were not revealed.
The official said local police suspect murder and arrested five people, adding
that the exact motive has yet to be revealed.
The official said the South Korean Embassy in Guatemala received a report from
the family of the victims on Monday and urged local police to make a thorough
investigation. The foreign ministry instructed all overseas diplomatic missions
to make efforts to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents.
