Minister of Interior receives European Parliament delegation

Manama, Nov. 1 (BNA): Interior Minister Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received on Tuesday a delegation of the European Parliament, headed by Member of Foreign Affairs Committee, Amjad Basheer, in the presence of member of MP Abdulrahman Bumajeed, the General Inspector and the Chief of Public Security. The meeting was part of the interaction with regional and international organisations and exchange of expertise and views. The minister welcomed the guests, highlighting the important role of the European Parliament in achieving international security and peace. The minister briefed the delegation of the efforts of the Interior Ministry in the protection of security, general order and safety of the public, as well as all forms of human rights protection under the reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The meeting discussed cooperation, coordination and topics of common interest.
