US FLEET COMMANDER MEETS RI NAVAL CADETS

Surabaya, Jan 22 (ANTARA) - The United States Commander of the seventh fleet Vice Admiral John M. Bird has briefed 219 cadets and officers of Indonesian Naval Academy here Thursday.

"The US Commander's visit is one of his agenda in Indonesia. It is good opportunity for the Indonesian naval cadets to increase their knowledge by asking questions during the session," spokesman for the Indonesian Naval Academy Major Jamaluddin said.
He said the American guests included US defense attache at the US embassy in Jakarta.
