Thailand ready to work with new US president

BANGKOK, November 10 (TNA) - Thailand welcomes the successful presidential election in the United States on November 8 (US time) and is ready to continue working together with Washington to drive ahead longstanding bilateral relations and partnership under the administration of the 45th US President, Donald Trump. The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted the statement on its official website, www.mfa.go.th, on October 9 (Thailand's time), congratulating the over 120 million American citizens on successfully electing their 45th President. The statement also stressed that the United States and Thailand have shared a long history of alliance and cordial relations of over 183 years, saying that bilateral cooperation between Washington and Bangkok is multi-dimensional covering many areas of mutual interests and both sides are committed to continue working constructively together on bilateral, regional and international stages.
