Jakarta, Jan 23 (ANTARA) - The Indonesian government has so far given US$200,000 to the Palestinian Authority as part of its commitment to help the latter with US$1 million in cash, a spokesman said.
"Until now Indonesia has already handed US$200,000 while the rest is still being prepared and will be delivered later," foreign ministry spokesman Teuku Faizasyah said here on Friday.
He said the Indonesian government had indeed committed to helping Palestine with cash money worth US$1 million that would be given in stages.
"Its medical aid supplies meanwhile have been set in several stages to Palestine," he said.
He said the Indonesian government was currently preparing an ambulance in Cairo for immediate delivery to Palestine.
Faiza said all the aid did not include the one given by individuals or groups concerned with the Palestinian condition.
