Tourists start to enjoy winter tourism in north, northeastern regions

BANGKOK, Nov 19 (TNA) -- Various provinces in the north and northeastern region of Thailand are set to influx of tourists planning to enjoy winter tourism. Cold weather turns Thailand’s North and Northeast to wintry scenery as temperature dip 3-5 degree Celsius. A scenic point on Khao Pok Lon mountain in Phitsanulok offers panoramic view of sea of fog. It is one of various natural wonders the northern province has to offer. Travelers pick their sightseeing sites, various ways to explore nature and rural livelihoods in Phitsanulok. Phu Reua flower field is on the most popular sites. Local villagers planted golden Mexican sunflowers, adding to wild flowers known in Thai as Bua Tong on hillsides. With morning fog blanketing valleys when first wintry wind has arrived this year, it is a perfect winter tourist attraction. Weather officials expect temperature to decrease further in the coming days. (TNA)
