Thai famous boxer to teach boxing in Thai south

NARATHIWAT, Nov 19 (TNA) -- Buakaw Banchamek, former K-1 World MAX champion has taught Thai boxing to youths in the Thai southernmost region, aiming to create inspiration and motivate to local residents. Buakaw, together with his coaching team has organised a Thai boxing workshop for 200 youths from the three southernmost province of Naratiwat, Pattani and Yala at the meeting hall of Princess of Naradhiwas University (PNU). The 200 youths became part of the project initiated to promote athletic developments for youths in the Thai southern region, a collaborated project between the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) and the Banchamek Gym with the objective to encourage youths to exercise more, while helping to promote the art of Thai boxing to the younger generations. The participants have participated in the basic Thai boxing training, as well as enjoy other fun activities. Buakaw expressed that he has been very determined to participate in the project, as he saw it as an opportunity to create inspiration and empower the local people, especially among youths. He said he would also like to see more popular athletes such as himself travel down south to give support to the youths to inspire them to become pro athletes in the future. (TNA)
