Don't Drive Drunk Foundation invites public to do good for late King
BANGKOK, Nov 19 (TNA) -- Thailand's Don't Drive Drunk Foundation is inviting the public to do good deeds in remembrance of His late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej by refraining from drinking and driving and driving recklessly.
The Foundation Secretary-General Dr Taejing Siripanich said the United Nations or UN has set every Sunday of the third week in November as the World Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims, which this year falls on November 20.
The don't drink and drive networks in Thailand have then used to opportunity to encourage Thai people to do good deeds by driving more carefully and to stop drinking and driving completely as a last tribute to HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Victims of the road accidents, as well as the Foundation private and public networks are scheduled to organise an activity in remembrance of His late Majesty and in remembrance of the people were victims of road crashes.
The activities tomorrow would include moment in silence for 89 seconds around the Victory Monument and on the Skywalk, after which the participants would carry out a mass singing of the Royal Anthem and give out portraits of HM King Bhumibol. (TNA)
