Palestinian Official Commends Saudi Assistance

Gaza, January 25, SPA -- The Minister of Health of the Palestinian
deposed government, Dr. Bassem Naim has commended the efforts of the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the relief of the Palestinian people in
the Gaza Strip under difficult conditions resulting from the Israeli
aggression against the Palestinian people.


In a statement on Saturday, Dr. Naim said that the great medical and
humanitarian assistance from Saudi Arabia under the leader of
humanity, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin
Abdulaziz Al Saud, has significantly alleviated the sufferings of the
Palestinian people.

He expressed his thanks and gratitude for the Kingdom's generous
support of 30 ambulances that arrived earlier today as well as for
medical supplies.


He also expressed his thanks to Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the
Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Custodian of the
Two Holy Mosques Campaign for Relief of the Palestinian people in
Gaza, noting his efforts in the constant support for the Palestinian
health sector and the establishment of Prince Naif Center for
Treatment of Cancerous Tumors.

Dr. Naim lauded emergency aid provided by Saudi Arabia through the
daily airlift program as well as its hosting of several wounded
Palestinians and transferring them aboard medical evacuation aircraft
to hospitals in the Kingdom.
