THOUSANDS GREET HAMAS SPOKESMAN IN CIREBON
Cirebon, West Java, Jan. 26 (ANTARA) - Around two thousand Cirebon residents greeted Sami Abu Zuhair, a spokesman of Hamas and concurrently an expert staff of the Palestinian Prime Minister, at At-Taqwa Mosque, Cirebon, on Sunday.
Zuhair told the Indonesian audience that Hamas with other Palestinian people would never surrender to the Israeli Zionists and would continue the resistance against the Israeli occupation.
The military aggression of the Zionist troops against the people of Gaza was the culmination of the Israeli desperation after vainly blockading the Gaza Strip for the last 1.5 year, he said.
"The Israeli troops have killed 2,000 civilians in the Gaza Strip. However, with God's Will, at least 5,000 new babies have been born in Palestine over the past one month," he said.
The Hamas spokesman also said that the Palestinian people were ready to die in the their fight against the Zionist's occupation.
Mahfud Sidiq, chairman of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS)'s faction, who accompanied Sami Zuhair in Cirebon, said Indonesia would always support the Palestinian people in their struggle for their country's independence,
He said that Indonesia has asked the United Nations to bring Israel to the International Court for a war crime because the Zionists had killed civilians, medical personnel and bombed UN facilities in Gaza.
