Saudi Aramco Seeks Strategic Training Partnership
RIYADH, January 26, SPA -- Saudi Aramco and Technical and Vocational
Training Corp. (TVTC) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding
(MOU) to develop a strategic relationship in training and
development.
Dr. Ali N. Al-Ghafiz, governor of TVTC, said TVTC appreciates this
new relationship as a progressive step toward better training in the
Kingdom. Training programs cannot achieve their goals, he said, if
the institutions and the companies that hire graduating trainees work
in isolation and don’t collaborate on the training plans and
strategies.
Al-Ghafiz urged members of the private sector to work together with
training institutes and tailor the training of the country’s future
work force to the needs of industry.
Executive director of Employee Relations and Training Samir A.
Al-Tubayyeb said Saudi Aramco will work hand in hand with TVTC to
create a strategic relationship in training, research and
development, as well as in community and business development.
He said he hoped that with time the bond will help create better
assessment tools, policies, processes and criteria to measure the
quality of trainees and ensure that they are equipped with the
competencies required by industry.
