PRESIDENT YUDHOYONO LEAVES FOR EAST JAVA
Jakarta, Jan 27 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to leave Halim Perdanakusuma airport in Jakarta at 8 am on Tuesday morning for Malang for a two-day working visit in East Java until Wednesday, official information from the presidential palace said.
Aboard presidential aircraft Being 737-500, President Yudhoyono and his entourage would arrive at Malang's Abdulrachman Saleh military air base at 9:25 a.m. local time.
From the air base, the president would head to Brawijaya University to deliver his scientific oration to mark the 46th anniversary of the university, while First Lady Ani Yudhoyono would officiate a smart house program in the company of the university's rector Yogi Sugito.
At 1:30 on Tuesday afternoon, the head of state would dedicate Malang State Islamic University building before taking an overland trip to East Java provincial city of Surabaya to open the 20th congress of Indonesian Notary Association (INI) the next day (Wednesday).
On the occasion the president would be presented with a book, "Jati Diri Notaris Indonesia (Dulu, Sekarang, dan di Masa Datang)," Indonesian Notary Identity (In the Past, Present, and Future), written by Tien Norman Lubis, chairman of INI's central executive board.
Then on Wednesday afternoon the head of state would head for Assalafi Al Fitrah Islamic boarding school to launch a rehabilitation and scholarship program for Islamic schools of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Madrasah Tsanawiyah, and Madrasah Aliyah.
In hist visit to Assalafi Al Fitrah Islamic boarding school, the president was accompanied by the school's leader Ahmad Asrory Al Ishaqi.
During his two-day working visit to East Java, President Yudhoyono is accompanied by National Education Minister Bambang Sudibyo, Religious Affairs Minister Maftuh Bashyuni, and Justice and Human Rights Minister Andi Mattalata.
The head of state is scheduled to leave Surabya's Juanda airport at 4:40 on Wednesday afternoon and arrive back at Halim Perdanakusuma airport at 5:55 p.m. local time.
