Skills training for freed inmates

BANGKOK, Dec 12 (TNA) - The Labour Ministry is prepared to offer skills training for inmates to be released from prisons nationwide after His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has issued a royal decree granting a royal pardon to prisoners to mark his accession to the throne. Theerapol Khunmuang, director-general of Labour Ministry’s Skill Development Department, said skills training for inmates, granted the royal pardon will start December 19 throughout Thailand. According to the plan, training will be offered to more than 1,500 freed prisoners nationwide. Besides skills training, every concerned government agency will provide knowledge to them on the labour-related law, social security and access to job opportunities. (TNA)
