Bauxite Resources to start trial mining
Junior mineral explorer Bauxite Resources Ltd says it will commence trial mining at its South Darling Range project near Bunbury in Western Australia next month.
The company aims to produce 160,000 tonnes of bauxite during the trial mining phase.
Bauxite Resources is ultimately targeting a three million tonne per annum operation and is reviewing opportunities for the development of an alumina refinery and smelter.
Shares in the company were down half a cent on Tuesday, or 2.63 per cent, at 18.5 cents.
