RI MUST BE SERIOUS IN ENHANCING SELF-SUFFICIENCY : PRESIDENT

Malang, E Java, Jan 27 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono insisted that Indonesia be serious in enhancing national self-sufficiency so as to make itself superior in the current globalization era.

"We must be more serious in enhancing our national self-sufficiency. It does not mean that we are isolating ourselves from the rest of the world," he said in an address on Brawijaya University's 46th anniversary here Tuesday.
The head of state said that in efforts to gain self-sufficiency, all parties must play an important role by combining all resources, science and culture.
