53% of Thai children want more outings with parents
BANGKOK, Jan 14 (TNA) -- Saturday marks the National Children’s Day in Thailand and, according to a survey conducted by the research centre at Bangkok University, 53.1 per cent of the total children want their parents to spend more time in taking them out and hold joint activities.
The survey conducted on 1,209 children aged between 6 -14 in Bangkok and neighbouring provinces also found that 41.1 per cent do not wish their parents engage in quarreling and 40.5 per cent do not want their parent to compare them with children of other families.
Also, 55.8 per cent of total respondents want teachers to have good teaching tools and technique so that they would not feel too drowsy while 48.9 per cent want teachers to give them less homework and 47.9 per cent want teachers to give easy explanations on difficult subjects.
Asked what kind of gifts they wanted to have most from Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha, 16.9 per cent of them said they wanted smartphone and tablet.
41.5 per cent said they wanted to be studious and useful to the country in an exchange for the gift from the prime minister followed by 16.9 per cent on love and morale for him to work for the country and 10.9 per cent to bless him on having happiness and healthy. (TNA)
