Bang Saphan Hospital to start healing the emotions of flood victims

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, Jan 14 (TNA) -- Bang Saphan Hospital in Prachuap Khiri Khan province has hurriedly repair the utility system and medical equipment which have been severely affected by the recent flood, while planning to send out medical teams to rehabilitate the emotions of flood victims. Head of the Prachuap Khiri Khan Public Health Office Dr Surin Suabseung said that a team of engineers from the Department of Health Service Support (HSS) has been repairng the utility system at the hospital after the flood water had receded, where operation and delivery rooms, as well as medical equipment have been treated with ozone to ensure cleanliness from bacteria. The engineering team has quickly inspected the safety of the utility system and accuracy, in which it is expected to completely repair 90 per cent of the damaged parts within the next two days, while all maintenance is predicted to be finished within a month's time. Meanwhile, in a bid to help rehabilitate affected victims after the flood receded, Dr Surin said a team of public health officials and psychiatrists to immediate rehabilitate emotion distress among the villagers. Patients currently being treated at the field hospital at Bang Saphan Wittaya School have been receiving continuous care from physicians sent in from various hospitals and would be continued to be treated so until the Bang Saphan Hospital reopens again on January 16, though it would only able to receive 30 in-patients.
