Saudi Minister of Culture and Information, Tunisian

Later, the Saudi Minister of Culture and Information met also today
with the Tunisian Minister of Culture and Heritage Preservation
Abdulraouf Al-Basty, who at the outset of the meeting, welcomed the
visit of Minister Iyad Madani to Tunisia, noting the depth of the
Tunisian-Saudi relationships and the existing cultural cooperation
between the two countries.

At the outset of the meeting, the Minister of Culture and
Information pointed out to the deep-rooted continuing cultural
exchanges between the two countries and the role of the existing
common elements in accelerating the pace of cultural communications.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed the aspects of
cultural cooperation and ways of diversifying and developing them.
Following the meeting, Madani briefed journalists that the two sides
discussed all potential aspects for further cultural exchange between
the two countries, stressing that such cooperation has existed since
long time.
The Minister of Culture and Information added that he briefed his
host on the cultural developments in the Kingdom, suggesting that
cooperation should not be confined to exchange of cultural events but
also through exchange of cultural ideas and visions of innovators in
the two countries in order to enrich the creative output in both
countries.
For his part, the Tunisian Minister said that "the meeting was a
good opportunity to discuss many practical points to set up a program
for cooperation in media areas", reviewing a defined ventures to
achieve and enrich a qualitative addition in the field of joint
cooperation.
