The Prince Mahidol awards was initiated by King Bhumibol Adulyadej to mark his father Prince Mahidol Adulyadej’s 100th anniversary in 1992 with an aim is to award people or organisations that have done excellent work on medical science and healthcare for the benefit of humanity.
