YOGYAKARTA'S ART AND CRAFT CENTRE TO BE OPENED IN 2010
Yogyakarta, Jan 30 (ANTARA) - Yogyakarta's Art and Craft Centre built in the former location of the Umbulharjo bus station were expected to start operations in 2010, Mayor of Yogyakarta Herry Zudianto, said here Friday.
"We have three main concepts to be developed in the centre namely 'what to see', 'what to eat', and 'what to buy'," Herry said adding that the first priority among the three icons was the "what to see" concept with intention to attract visitors to come to the art and craft centre.
Moreover, the mayor said, the centre would have traditional art performance as an attraction to welcome visitors. Herry added that the ministry of Trade and Industry also gave financial aid for the development of the Umbulrejo Art and Craft Centre.
