Valentine's Day celebrations to be held in national parks
BANGKOK, Feb 9 (TNA) -- The Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation (DNP) is prepared to hold various activities promote tourism at national parks on Valentine's Day, stressing on activities that follow traditions and local cultures.
DNP Director-General Thanya Netithammakun said that on February 14 or Valentine's Day of every year, the DNP would hold activities to promote tourism at all of its six national parks, in which entertainments this year would be focused on local tradition and cultures.
The Chao Mai National Park in Trang, for example, is set to hold an under the sea wedding near the Koh Kradarn island and beach in front of the Anantra Sikao Resort Hotel between February 12-14.
The Khao Sok National Park in Surat Thani would hold a marriage registration ceremony in celebrations of Valentine's Day within the park on February 14.
The Pha Tam National Park in Ubon Ratchathani is scheduled to organise various activities to celebrate Valentine's, including local tradition wedding parade and ceremony, and a marriage registration process for 30 brides and grooms participating in the activities.
The Khao Phra Viharn National Park in Si Sa Ket, meanwhile, would hold a wedding project on February 14.
And the Phu Toei National Park in Suphan Buri province is set to hold a Valentine's celebration between February 13-14 while the Phu Kradeung National Park in Loei would organise activities on the occasion of Valentine's Day on February 13-14, as well. (TNA)
