The Two Holy Mosques` projects detailed at Cairo`s 5th Book Fair

Cairo, February 01, SPA -- Saudi Pavilion at the 5th Cairo Book Fair
organized here a lecture on development projects in Makkah, Madinah
and the Hoy Sites.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Idris, a professor of architecture and the
Under Secretary of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute
for Hajj Research, gave a lecture and presentation on the development
projects undertaken by the Government of the Custodian of the Two
Holy Mosques, to develop the surrounding areas of the Two Holy
Mosques and The Holy Sites for the facilitation for pilgrims'
performance of Hajj and Umrah rituals in ease.

He shed lights on the great challenge facing Saudi Arabia with
regard to the increasing numbers of pilgrims every year as the
government developed and implemented a wide-range of gigantic
developmental projects and expanded the area of the Two Holy Mosques,
paving new roads for easy access to the Holy Mosques and the Holy
sites, increasing the number of facilities and services in the
surrounding areas. These included the development area surrounding
Jabal Al-Rahmah, establishment of a hospital equipped with full
services, as well as setting up of centers to guide the stranded
pilgrims in addition to other uncountable services.
