Arab Committee for Human Rights Condemns Israeli aggression

Amman, February 01, SPA -- Representatives of the Arab standing
committee for human rights have condemned the Israeli flagrant
aggression against the innocent civilians in Gaza strip.

In a statement published here today, the committee's chairman
Ibrahim al-Shiddi said the committee has adopted recommendations for
submitting them to the Arab foreign ministers.

He noted that the committee has asked the UN to shoulder its legal
responsibility towards the Palestinian cause. "Moreover, the
committee has asked all member states notably the Arab countries to
present documents about the Israeli crimes to fact-finding committee."

The Committee has also asked the member states of Geneva agreement
to work for the protection of the Palestinians civilians.

It urged the Arab countries to urge the Swiss government to hold a
conference for forcing Israel to respect the international law and
norms and to recognize the right of the Palestinians to practice
their rights to defend themselves before the organs of the
international criminal justice.

On the other hand, the committee has asked the member states of Rome
agreement to practice their right and work for bringing the
perpetrators of the war crimes against humanity to the International
Court of Justice in line with article 14 of its basic system.
