Kampar WOW Festival Aims to Attract 100,000 Visitors

KAMPAR (Perak), Feb 21 (Bernama) -- The Kampar WOW Festival to be held from March 24-26 at Sport@Grand Kampar, is expected to attract 100,000 visitors. Perak Tourism, Arts and Culture Committee chairman Nolee Ashilin Mohd Radzi said the hosting of the festival would further enliven the celebration of Visit Perak Year 2017, especially in the district. She said, the three-day festival jointly organised by the Kampar District Council, Universiti Tuanku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and Grand Kampar Hotel offered 30 programmes which comprised five components, namely, exhibition, sports and recreation, as well as entrepreneurship and creative learning. According to Nolee Ashilin, who is also the patron of the main committee for the festival, the grand event was expected to bring in expansive economic opportunities, especially to the Kampar market area, as well as boost the image of Kampar that is undergoing rapid development. -- BERNAMA
