NIHR to boost cooperation with French academy

Doha, Feb. 21 (BNA): National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)'s Vice President Abdullah Alderazi received André Dizdarevic the Director of Lyon Institute of Human Rights, on the side-lines of the International Conference on Human Rights Approaches convened in Doha. Alderazi briefed the director about the Institution's work and its efforts in boosting institutional capacity and spreading the culture of human rights as well as about aspects of NIHR's cooperation with the various relevant human rights institutions. He stressed the Institution's support for academic progress. The director praised NIHR's efforts and its keenness on promoting human rights culture in Bahrain. The two sides discussed cooperation on training and higher studies programmes provided by the Institute and agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost cooperation, including the provision of scholarships for postgraduate programmes according to terms and conditions which will announced after the signing.
