ASMQC launches Intel program for matching documents in source country



SANA'A, Feb. 01 (Saba)- Yemen Authority for Standards, Measures
and Quality Control (ASMQC) launched on Sunday the international
program for matching documents in source country.

In a symposium to enlighten about the program, the Minister of Trade
and Industry Yahya al-Mutawakel said that the program is a truing
point in the works of the authority within current economic
challenges and crisis.

The minister said that program has been approved before two years,
calling on gathering efforts of concerned bodies and private sector
to bring the program into success and realize its objectives.

The minister pointed out that the government reviewed its policies
to reduce impacts of the economic crisis.

For his part, the director general of the authority Ahmed al-Bashah
reviewed steps taken by the authority to carry out its activities
and the program.

Such program would help the authority to inspect products and issue
the similarity documents before process of shipment, al-Bashah said.

He added that the authority stated to think about the program before
five years and conducted a study over condition of Yemen
economically socially within available possibilities.

The authority signed last November with French Bifak and Swiss
Kotanak companies who are specializing in issuance of these
documents before shipment, an agreement to implement the program.
