Parliament spring session to convene on April 5

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Spring session of the Mongolian Parliament is scheduled to open on April 5. For the spring session, 34 bills and regulations, such as amendments to 2017 state budget and constitution, socio-economic general guidelines of 2017, drafts on offense and casino and procedural laws are expected for discussion. Fist and foremost, Parliament will be discussing budget amendments of 2017. In accordance with talks between the Government of Mongolia and International Monetary Fund, Extended Fund Facility program is expected implement in Mongolia. The draft budget amendments laid out to increase excise taxes on cigarettes, tobacco, vodka and alcoholic beverages, petroleum and diesel and passenger vehicles, customs tax on cigarettes and individual income taxes in the scope of the IMF program. Also, tax on savings' interest and increase of social insurance contributions would be enforced according to the draft amendments of budget.
