Over 10 tonnes of humanitarian cargo handed over to Syrians in 24 hours

The Russian Center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria has carried out eight humanitarian operations in the Aleppo and Latakia provinces over the past 24 hours handing over more than 10 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the Syrian population, the center said in its daily bulletin. "Over the past 24 hours, the Russian Center for reconciliation of the warring parties conducted eight humanitarian operations in the Aleppo and Latakia provinces, with 3,368 residents receiving humanitarian aid. The total weight of the humanitarian cargo handed over to the population was 10.5 tonnes," the center said. In the city of Aleppo, local residents were handed over 6 tonnes of bottled drinking water, while people in the city of Manbij in the Aleppo province received 1,000 portions of hot food and 200 food packages. In addition to that, the center’s specialists brought staple commodities and foodstuffs to the city of Jablah in the Latakia province. The reconciliation center noted that Russian aircraft had delivered 20.4 tonnes of food received by the Syrian authorities from the UN to the city of Deir ez-Zor. Read more
