Doctors, staff at Maha Sarakham Hospital put on traditional costumes for Songkran

MAHA SARAKHAM, April 14 (TNA) -- Doctors and staff at Maha Sarakham Hospital who are working on Songkran Day put on traditional costumes for the traditional New Year. Having to serve patients on holiday, the medical team at the hospital finds the way to put smiles of people’s face. All staff members and medical personnel of every department are dressed up in northeastern-style costumes made of the popular Thai silk. Doctors and nurses said patients showed their appreciation for this New Year treat and they themselves love to preserve the traditional costume of the northeast, or Isan. Throughout the northeastern part of Thailand, silk and textile culture is very rich with great diversity. Different styles of weaving silk and cotton textiles are part of the unique and beautiful culture. (TNA)
