OIC Secretary General receives President of Turkey

Jeddah, February 05 , SPA -- Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, OIC
Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC),
received here today the President of Turkey Abdullah Gul within his
current official visit to Saudi Arabia.

The OIC Secretary-General expressed his appreciation of Turkey for
the great efforts it was exerting in support of Islamic causes and
the OIC.

Professor Ihsanoglu discussed with President Abdullah Gul the role
played by the OIC in the service of Muslim world countries and
peoples. The two parties also examined ways of boosting relations
between the Republic of Turkey and the OIC.

On his part, the Turkish President expressed his deep appreciation
of OIC and its Secretary General for the efforts they exerted at all
levels to counter the challenges facing the Islamic world.
