Thai authorities monitor updates on US-NKorea tensions

BANGKOK, April 18 (TNA) - All Thai security agencies have been monitoring the updated situation on current tensions between the United States and North Korea, while agencies concerned are taking good care of Thai people in the affected Northeastern Asian region. Permanent Secretary for Defence General Chaicharn Changmongkol told journalists of the information on Tuesday, noting that the relevant security agencies are, thus, ready to immmeditately alert parties concerned in case of any emergency. In response to public concerns over whether the current tensions between Washington and Pyongyang would escalate to be the 3rd World War, the senior security officer stated that the concerned security agencies have been closely monitoring updates. The senior Thai officer stressed, however, that agencies concerned are taking good care of Thai citizens in conflicting areas. (TNA)
