Turkey's President Holds Press Conference 3 Riyadh

President Gul cited also his reception of Prince Miteb bin Abdulaziz,
the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs; Prince Saud Al-Faisal,
the Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Ministers of Finance, Higher
Education and Communications and Information Technology with whom he
discussed ways of boosting relations between the Kingdom and Turkey
in various fields.

The Turkish president confirmed also the importance of both the
Kingdom and Turkey in the region.

"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the guardian of the Holy Sites and
Turkey is a member of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and
is seeking to join the European Union" Gul said, stressing the
importance of cooperation between the two countries in support of
stability and security in the region.

Among other different regional issues, the Turkish President
emphasized the importance of saving blood in the Palestinian
territories and achieving the unity of the Palestinian rank which he
believed is a collective responsibility.
