Obama Urges Stimulus Passage, Energy Efficiency

Washington, February 06 , SPA -- U.S. President Barack Obama has
again urged U.S. Congressional leaders to pass the massive $900
billion stimulus plan, which he said will give Americans back their
jobs, increase efficiency standards, and improve U.S. infrastructure,
it was reported today.

Speaking at the U.S. Department of Energy, Obama pushed the plan now
working its way through Congress, saying that passing the plan is an
urgent matter. “The time for talk is over, the time for action is
now,” Obama said, adding that without acting, “crisis could turn into
catastrophe…I refuse to let that happen.”
