UK chefs to raise funds for Mumbai terror victims

London, Feb 7 (PTI) A leading NRI chef along with his
British associate plans to raise funds for victims of the
Mumbai terror attacks.

NRI chef Vivek Singh of The Cinnamon club and Eric Chavot
of The Capital in London will create a five-course banquet for
guests including the Dutchess of York.

The 500 pounds per head private dinner will take place on
March 5 on behalf of the Oberoi Care Fund.

The fund supports the families of the 10 hotel staff of
Mumbai's Trident Oberoi Hotel, who lost their lives in
November 26 terror strikes last year.

Henrik Muehle, manager of The Capital Hotel in
Knightsbridge, which is hosting the dinner said: "After the
terrible events in Mumbai last November, many of us in the
industry wanted to do something to help. We have 40 seats, it
will be very exclusive and I want to raise 20,000 pounds."

Both the chefs have devised a menu, which fuses East and
West. "We want the evening to be upbeat, because we love
India," Muehle said.
