Police hunt Pattani car bomb suspect
PATTANI, May 11 (TNA) – The police are hunting the first suspect with an arrest warrant for his connection with the car bomb at the Big C superstore in Pattani on May 9.
The first arrest warrant was issued for one of the four suspects, identified as Makorseng. According to the police’s investigation, he is a new leader at the operation level of the Runda Kumpulan Kecil (RKK) insurgent group.
The surveillance camera footage showed the picture of the man, sitting in the front’s passenger seat of the stolen pick-up truck, used as a car bomb. He and the driver left the vehicle after parking it at the entrance of the supermarket. The duo was later picked up by two motorcycles.
Meanwhile, Nuson Kajornkham, the owner of the pick-up truck is still missing. His cellphone signal was last detected in Pattani’s Nong Chik district, 30 kilometres from his house.
