Thai Water Buffalo Conservation Day celebrated

SA KAEO, May 14 (TNA) – The Thai eastern province of Sa Kaeo on Sunday held an event to mark the national Water Buffalo Conservation Day. In March, the government declared May 14 the national Water Buffalo Conservation Day in order to raise awareness on the importance of cattle conservation in Thailand, according to a press release published by the Government Public Relations Department. In response to the March resolution of the Cabinet, cattle conservation activities, presided by Apai Suttisunk, director-general of the Department of Livestock Development, were organized to honor His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the provincial livestock breeding and research center in Sa Kaeo. The activities included an awards ceremony for members of the Royal Cattle and Buffalo Bank For Farmers , distribution of 39 water buffaloes, an exhibition, and a buffalo show. (TNA)
