MODERATE QUAKE JOLTS MANOKWAI, PAPUA
Jakarta, Feb 8 (ANTARA) - An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale rocked Manokwari, West Papua province at 4.56 a.m Western Indonesian Standard Time, Meteorological and Geophysics Agency (BMG) office said here on Sunday.
The BMG said the epicenter of the earthquake was located at 0.46 degrees southern latitude and 132.82 degrees eastern longitude at a dept of 61 km, some 145 km northwest of Manokwari.
Manokwari was rocked with a 7.6-magnitude earthquake on June 4, 2009, killing four people and seriously injuring 31 others.
