VEEP: SHELL SET TO RELOCATE ITS REFINARIES TO RI

The Hague, Netherland, Feb 8 (ANTARA) - Vice President Jusuf Kalla said Shell Royal Dutch of the Netherlands had expressed its readiness to relocate its oil refineries to Indonesia.
"In a dinner party, Shell expressed its readiness for the relocation," Kalla said during an inspection to Rotterdam post on Sunday.
During a meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkender, Vice President Jusuf Kalla was confided that Shell is keenly interested in participation in the explorations of Natuna D Alpha Block.
Kalla warmly welcomed Shell's interest, but the government has yet to make a comment.
Kalla added that at present there are some exploration companies in Indonesia like Exxon of the United States, Dutch Shell of the Netherlands, and PetroChina of China who are interested in Natuna D Alpha block. ***2***
