FOUR RALLIES TO HIT JAKARTA MONDAY

Jakarta, Feb 9 (ANTARA) - Four groups of protesters will stage peaceful rallies at several points in Jakarta on Monday with the potential of causing traffic jam on a number of main roads in the capital city.

The Jakarta Police's Traffic Management Center (TMC) informed that the four rallies would hit several areas in Central Jakarta and South Jakarta.

TMC said a group of protesters would start the first rally at around 9 on Monday morning outside the Presidential Palace on Medan Merdeka Utrara street.

Next, the second group of protesters would again stage the second rally at several locations namely in front of the Supreme Court building on Medan Merdeka Utara street, outside the Judicial Commission building on Abdul Muis street, and then in front of the Central Jakarta District Court building on Gajah Mada street.

TMC said the second rally at three different locations would start at 10 on Monday morning.

About one hour after that, it would be the turn of the third group of protesters to stage their rally in front of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPU) office on HR Rasuna Said street in South Jakarta.

Finally, the Supreme Court building on Medan Merdeka Utara would again be hit by the fourth group of protesters at about 12 noon on Monday.
