Thailand to host SIOP Asia 2017

BANGKOK, May 22 (TNA) – Thailand is ready to hold the 11th Congress of the International Society of Pediatric Oncology Asia (SIOP Asia 2017) where medical experts, parents and ex-cancer child patients from many countries will come and share their experiences and knowledge. MD Panya Seksarn, the organizing chairman of the 11th SIOP Asia Congress, said the Thai Pediatric Oncology Group co-hosts the event with the Thai Society of Hematology. It takes place at Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre in the Thai capital city on May 25-28. The first SIOP Asia Congress organized in Thailand is expected to draw as many as 400 participants from many countries. Pediatric oncologists and related medical personnel from many countries worldwide will attend the meeting while parents and young cancer survivors will also take part in the event. The organizers believe the event would bring a range of benefits to the Thai society and the country’s medical industry in terms of pediatric oncological treatment in particular. (TNA)
